In Loving Memory ♡

Her smile lit a room, her energy now bottled in a time capsule of memories. In the early morning hours of December 14, 2022, my Aunt Diedre made a graceful exit from this world to her forever home after battling stage 4 colon cancer for over seven years. If you know me at all, you…

It Ends With Us

As our vision clears like the smokey haze lifting after nights of devastating riots…How will we live differently? What part will we commit to playing in the solution?

Workout Woes

Haunted by this memory, you glance longingly at the elevator bank. I couldn’t. I shouldn’t. I won’t. It’s just one flight…!

In With the New

This coming year, my prayer continues to be, “God, bring me closer to You, who I am in You, and Your will in my life”

Wellness Check

I’m always trying to surround myself with people that inspire me to dream bigger. Challenge my thought process. Stimulate creativity. Dance on disappointment. Medicate with laughter. Are a few steps ahead of me. And hope to be those things for others in return.

W4W || DAY 5 (92 MILES)

In total, we biked over 450 miles, raised just shy of $40K, and joined with hundreds in united prayer to move the needle closer to freedom and justice for all. Thanks for everyone who played a part in the journey!

We even got to roll into town on the Atlantic City Boardwalk! Kudos to @venture_org and our #women4womentour2018 lead team for continuing to crush it, taking servant leadership…

Women for Women Bike Tour

Right now we are all making our way to Washington D.C., where we will join our fearless leaders and begin the trek to New York City.

Paying if Forward

I’m reminded that we can’t change what’s happened, but we CAN change what happens next.

A Blind Intersection

When his stop was called out he rang the bell, and fumbled his way to the exit. […] “Where is he going?” I hear someone call out…

Morning Madness

Thoroughly MN-winter-bundled and booted up, awkwardly weighed down by my gym and computer bags, arms flailing dramatically, I “run” through drifts of un-shoveled sidewalk and skate across an icy intersection, shamelessly chasing down the bus approaching my bus stop, still a quarter of a block away.

Walk for Freedom

Minnesota is the 4th largest state in the U.S. for highest intstance of human trafficking, supporting a 150 billion dollar industry, worldwide.

Pain = Progress

I cried at my first physical therapy session (no one that knows me is surprised 😉 )

Let me Introduce Myself

I have always been amazed by the emotions that words can evoke. I attribute this appreciation to my mother, who never let our library cards get dusty and tirelessly read aloud, with great animation, the best child literature the early 90’s had to offer. This translated into my love for writing, and learning to channel…
